Selenium is an important antioxidant mineral required by the thyroid, heart, immune system and it also helps to counter heavy metals such as mercury, arsenic and cadmium.
Like other minerals, the selenium in our foods comes from the soil that food is grown in. However in New Zealand and Australia, the soil is very low in selenium which means that our food is also deficient in this key mineral.
Lifestream Natural Selenium is unique because it is food-sourced from high selenium yeast. This type of selenium is quickly becoming the preferred form because its natural and has a range of selenium-rich proteins organically bound to it.
This product contains no active yeast so does not contribute to yeast infections.
DIRECTIONS:
Adults: Take one capsule daily.
Caution:
This product contains selenium which is toxic in high doses. A daily dose of 150mcg, for adults, of selenium from dietary supplements should not be exceeded. Always read the label and use as directed. If symptoms persist see you healthcare practitioner.
